The State Duma appreciated the idea of transferring schools to Russian messengers The digital economy must keep up with world standards, according to the parliament.
In Russia, they want to transfer civil servants and employees of budgetary organizations, including schools, to Russian messengers and other IT services, the media write.
In the State Duma, this idea is generally considered correct. Thus, Andrei Svintsov, deputy chairman of the committee of the lower house of parliament on information policy, information technology and communications, noted that the task of the state is to help the digital economy, which should “outstrip or at least keep up with world standards.”
“We need some government assistance to private business in creating good, strong software products that will gradually replace Western counterparts in all industries, or at least compete with them, which will allow us to grow a normal business environment, including in the production of various kinds of software products” , – the RT TV channel quotes the parliamentarian.
He stressed that it is not so important what the software product will be – for narrow specialists, designers, or for general use like social networks, instant messengers, mail services, etc.
