US Department of State has authorized the issuance of a number of work visas without interviews until December 31, 2022

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the US State Department allowed the temporary issuance of a number of types of work visas without interviewing applicants. This is reported by TASS with reference to the statement of the Foreign Ministry.
It follows from the document that consular employees are allowed not to conduct personal interviews when issuing certain types of nonimmigrant work visas until December 31, 2022.
These are visas issued at the request of potential employers located in the United States and interested in the arrival of qualified employees. The rules also apply to visas for employees of foreign missions of American companies, prominent cultural and sports personalities, and participants in some international programs.
At the same time, the department noted that consular officers can still conduct an interview if they deem it necessary.
At the end of October, the US State Department classified Russians as “homeless nationalities.” This category includes citizens of countries in which the United States does not have a consular mission or whose political situation is considered so unstable that it does not allow diplomatic missions to consider their citizens' visa applications. As a result, citizens of the Russian Federation are forced to look for alternative ways of filing documents.
