The position of the United States has not changed regarding the possible end of Russian aggression against Ukraine through diplomatic means, and it is that: nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine.
Thus, the US State Department spokesman Matthew Miller commented on the meeting of the head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Dmytro Kuleba with his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi, reports Ukrinform.
“I saw the statement of the Chinese Foreign Ministry about the negotiations with Foreign Minister Kuleba, and I also saw the statement of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry on this matter, which says that nothing has changed in their position,” the State Department representative noted.
He emphasized that Ukraine demonstrates its readiness to negotiate a lasting and fair peace. However, Russian dictator Putin has not changed his mind and seeks to continue the war.
“So our attitude remains the same as it has been for some time, namely that when it comes to diplomacy, nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine,” the US State Department spokesman emphasized.
