The United States State Department cannot yet confirm the information that the Yemeni Houthis are directly involved in the war against Ukraine on the side Russian aggressors.
This was stated by State Department spokesman Matthew Miller, reports Ukrinform.
“We have seen reports of Russians luring foreign citizens, including Yemeni citizens, with promises of jobs, citizenship, admission to universities – in order to attract them to the war against Ukraine,” Miller noted.
At the same time, he cannot officially confirm or comment on such reports.
“But I would say that this is definitely the issue that worries us,” the representative summed up.
