US State Department: statements about pushing Kiev to the conflict by the West are fiction

The US State Department has distributed a message called a collection of facts, in which it cites theses and their debunking. Thus, the agency believes that statements about pushing Ukraine to the conflict by the West are fiction, RIA Novosti reports.
The information that Kiev is an aggressor in relations with Russia, as well as the fact that the movements of Russian troops are a redeployment, is also called fiction.
The State Department considers it a fact that Moscow provokes the crisis around Ukraine by deploying military personnel on the border, as well as “false accusations of the victim” by Russia. At the same time, the agency does not provide justification for its conclusions.
The State Department calls the statements that Russia protects ethnic Russians in Ukraine a fiction. “There are no reliable reports that any ethnic Russians or Russian speakers are being threatened by the government of Ukraine,” the report says.
The American Foreign Ministry also does not believe that NATO is encircling Russia and is violating its promises of non-expansion, calling the North Atlantic Alliance a defensive alliance.
The State Department also said that the United States is conducting active diplomatic work to resolve the crisis, and not immediately resorting to sanctions. Statements that Washington supports “color revolutions” in neighboring countries with Russia were also called disinformation.
Earlier, US President Joe Biden said that Russia would pay a high price if it decided to invade Ukraine. Washington is ready to apply sanctions in case of escalation of the conflict. The American leader noted that any movement of the Russian armed forces to Ukraine would be considered an invasion and aggression. The US President said that Russia is also waiting for severe consequences in the event of the use of non-military measures against Kiev.
