The head of the press service of the US State Department, Ned Price, assessed the further prospects for dialogue with Russia. His words are reported by TASS.

Price said Washington has not yet received a response from Russia to the proposals for security guarantees. He noted that further diplomatic contacts will depend on the reaction of Moscow. “So far, there have been no specific discussions about when such discussions could take place,” a State Department spokesman said. The spokesman also said there were no signs of de-escalation in Ukraine. According to him, the United States has not yet seen real actions from the Russian Federation in this direction.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, at an official meeting with President Vladimir Putin, said that Moscow has the opportunity to agree with the North Atlantic Alliance on security guarantees in Europe. The Foreign Minister reminded the President that the Russian side in the dialogue with NATO insists on the inadmissibility of endless talks on issues that need to be resolved now.
