The country is struggling with the problem of low birth rate.
< p>In China, the Henan Province Sperm Bank is inviting university students to donate and also participate in an original competition.
The South China Morning Post writes about this.
A representative from the institution expressed hope that more university students will become donors as their sperm quality is better than that of the general public.
“Due to environmental pollution and hard work, the overall quality of sperm has deteriorated. This has led to infertility in married couples, bringing disharmony to their families and society. Like blood, sperm donation is a humanitarian activity. It can bring good news to infertile couples. Therefore, we encourage university students to donate sperm to contribute to society,” it said .
An added bonus was that the sperm bank organized a competition in the city of Zhengzhou. Its goal is to find the man with the highest sperm count and energetic sperm.
Participants will receive 200 yuan ($27) for each donation as compensation for travel and other expenses.
Expected that they will donate eight to 20 times over a two-month period. Those who receive 20 donations will receive an additional reward of 2,100 yuan.
After the end of the competition, participants will also have a professional fertility assessment. Two winners will be chosen: one for the most sperm count and one for the most energetic sperm.
The winners and competition analysis will be made public in a way that preserves the anonymity of participants, organizers said.
Recall that the man died seven minutes after the accident and saw his past lives. He was taken on a “whirlwind journey” and shown various previous lives.
