The Spaniards asked not to let tourists into the country

by alex

Most Spaniards are against allowing foreign tourists to enter the country. This is due to the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, El Mundo writes, citing a survey by the Sigma Dos center.

About 60 percent of those surveyed asked not to open borders while the country has restrictions on movement. At the same time, about 31 percent of Spaniards, on the contrary, would support the entry of foreign tourists if stricter control measures were applied in the country.

In addition, the majority of those surveyed (63.5 percent) doubted that vaccination will help ensure that the pandemic is over by the summer. Most of them are people from 30 to 64 years old. At the same time, 29.4 percent of respondents, on the contrary, are optimistic – these are people aged 18 to 29 years.

The survey involved a thousand adult citizens of Spain.

The Spanish authorities want to vaccinate most of the population against coronavirus by the end of the summer of 2021. The drugs approved there are Moderna, Pfizer / BioNTech and AstraZeneca.
