Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny spoke about soldiers who go through hell on the front lines. In extremely difficult conditions, Ukrainian soldiers defend their country from Russia.
It will be a completely different nation and people – Zaluzhny
Valery Zaluzhny spoke about this during the forum “Defenders. Roll call. Where we are, there is Ukraine”, which was broadcast on the air of the telethon. According to Zaluzhny, the Ukrainian military smells death every minute every day.
This smell cannot be confused with anything else. He is always there. The taste of blood that won't go away. Even if you try to drown it out with something else, it does not disappear. It is a taste of bitter tears – it does not disappear, – said the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As Zaluzhny said, today it is a constant hell. And the only rest, according to Zaluzhny, is “a change from one hell to another.”
“And in this period between changing locations for performing combat missions, there is rest. And these people, God forbid, will return soon. Of course, with victory,” he said.
Zaluzhny stressed that there are a lot of military personnel holding back the enemy and they are all different. However, they are united by one important thing – the defense of Ukraine.
There are a lot of them, they are different, but all together for the sake of children, women, parents they do one important thing – they protect our country in the conditions that I spoke about. They will return, they will become veterans with their own problems and requests and their grief,” the commander-in-chief said.
Zaluzhny added that the servicemen who return from the war will need to be supported.
“It will be a completely different nation and people who will know the price of freedom and independence,” he concluded.
Zaluzhny named the losses of Ukraine
