The Russian-Ukrainian war has been going on for the sixth day. The enemy's expectations were not justified – the occupier failed to rapidly achieve its goals. The task of missile strikes, firing with multiple launch rocket systems and air strikes indicate that the Russian army cannot fight the Ukrainian Nation ready for total resistance, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine notes, and adds:
The “courage” of the occupiers is manifested only in the intimidation of the civilian population and looting.
According to the operational information of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at 18.00:
- In the Seversk region, the Ukrainian military are conducting defensive battles on occupied lines, with the task of preventing the enemy from advancing in the directions of the settlements of Kipti and Nizhyn.
- Part of the forces continues to defend Chernigov, destroying the enemy by fire with all available means and preventing the enemy from penetrating into the city.
- In Slobozhanshchina, units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces inflict losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment, and capture prisoners.
- In the Primorsky direction, our defenders continue to conduct a defensive operation in a certain area of responsibility.
- The Kyiv defense group continues to fight and contain certain areas.
- Assault units and artillery units took up defensive positions in the vicinity of the capital and are improving the fortification equipment of positions.
- Territorial defense units reinforce the personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and perform the tasks of guarding and defending important infrastructure of the capital.
