On the seventh day of the war in Ukraine, the Russian army is still trying to break into Kyiv. On the morning of March 2, the invaders shelled the cities of Irpin and Gostomel in the Kiev region.

Oleksiy Kuleba, head of the Kyiv Regional State Administration, spoke about the situation around the capital of Ukraine.

– At night, the city of Belaya Tserkov and the village of Borodyanka were bombed. In the morning the cities of Irpin and Gostomel are being shelled. A large number of buildings were destroyed. Damaged infrastructure. Our military and territorial defense are fighting back,” he said.

According to him, now the situation is difficult in the direction of Borodyanka, the Zhytomyr highway and the village of Dymer.

The Russian invaders do not give a green corridor and do not let volunteers who want to help civilians through.

Yesterday, March 1, the Ukrainian military over the Kiev reservoir shot down a helicopter of the enemy Russian Armed Forces.

The video of the Ministry of Defense shows that 17 Russian helicopters are flying over the reservoir, one of which is knocked out.
