Headaches in the morning may indicate the onset of a brain tumor. However, this is not the only symptom that indicates a disease, said Anton Zaitsev, head of the neurosurgical department of the Moscow Cancer Research Institute, on the air of the Moscow Talking radio station.
“These are cerebral symptoms – headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting; and focal symptomatology, when patients have problems with the pronunciation of words, understanding of words, weakness in the extremities occurs, ”Zaitsev said.
At the same time, the doctor pointed out that the disease can be “dormant” for a long time. This happens with a deep location of a large tumor.
If a person does not have headaches after taking analgesics, he should undergo a diagnosis, Zaitsev noted.
Earlier it was reported that German scientists set about creating a vaccine against glioma – one of the most severe brain tumors. The first phase of clinical trials has already ended.
