Biomedical scientist Parvez Haris of the University of Leicester De Montfort has put forward a new theory about the cause of Napoleon's death. Recall that the official version says that the emperor of France died twice due to stomach cancer, while the researcher believes that his obsession with perfume ruined him.
A new theory about the death of Napoleon Bonaparte was reported by the Daily Mail. The researcher drew attention to the fact that in previous studies, experts have found that essential oils in large quantities are harmful to the endocrine system, which is fraught with the development of malignant tumors. According to the scientist, it was his excessive love for cologne that could lead to death.
Among other things, the researcher recalled that a high content of arsenic was found in Napoleon's hair. At the same time, he noted that at that time many people used cosmetics with arsenic in the composition, but not everyone died from this.
“ What they lacked was the huge volumes of cologne with which Napoleon strangled his body ,” added the specialist.
