The schedule is fixed, but nobody wants to become the President of the ÖFB

Leo Windtner resigns, Franco Foda gets a new president

So far, no successor candidate has positioned himself, after all, the schedule for the next steps is in place.

“The representatives of the regional associations and the Bundesliga agreed on how to proceed together in a very constructive discussion and set the schedule,” explains Wolfgang Bartosch, the chairman of the ÖFB election committee.

“This ensures that the electoral committee will propose a suitable candidate for the office of ÖFB president in due time. At this point in time it is still too early to name names publicly,” explains Bartosch in an ÖFB broadcast.

Candidates can register for the highest office in Austrian football up to one month before the Annual General Meeting on October 17th.
