A queue of more than a thousand trucks has formed at the Russian-Chinese border due to the closure of four out of five checkpoints (checkpoints) since December 3, Izvestia writes with reference to informants in the field of cargo transportation.
“Suifenhe” remained the only working checkpoint, so a congestion of cars arose on the border between Russia and China. However, this point is capable of receiving only one or two trucks per day. First of all, the border is crossed by trucks with food. Trucks with holiday goods “can stand for weeks,” so Russians are in danger of being left without New Year's gifts.
Experts believe that next year the situation with transportation will worsen due to the strengthening of border crossing rules from the Chinese side.
