Specialist experts told the Russians about ways to identify whether the collection of money on the Internet for needy children is fake. Their words are reported by the Izvestia newspaper.
As Anzhelika Ivanova, coordinator of the All Together for Reasonable Help project of the All Together Association, explained, at the beginning it is necessary to find out who posted the ad on the Internet – an individual or a charitable organization. If the announcement is on behalf of an organization, you should pay attention to which account it is proposed to send funds to. The expert notes that the charitable foundation indicates only the organization's current account and never collects money on personal cards.
In addition, one of the easiest ways to find out if an ad is real is to check the child's photo and card number on a search engine. If it has already been used somewhere, then this can help detect fraud.
In addition, you should check if there is an announcement on the foundation's website. Also, the organization must have a full package of documents, which can be shown at the request of the donor, added Elena Smirnova, head of the Sozidanie Charitable Foundation.
In January, it became known that Russia was introducing administrative liability for illegal charity, including with the help of donation boxes by persons who do not have the right to do so. Article 7.27 “Petty theft” of the Code of Administrative Offenses (CAO) is supplemented with a new part 3.
