The author of the material noted that this is easy to do. You need to go to the “Settings” menu in the Telegram application, select “Memory usage”, click and see how much space is taken up by all media files received and sent via the messenger. Then you should click “clear Telegram cache”. After that, automatic deletion will take place.
The algorithm of actions for WhatsApp is similar. You should go to the settings, select “Data and Storage”, and then click storage management. WhatsApp can even show the chats from which the most data is stored. You can delete this data manually or get rid of the entire chat.
