The scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center Roman Vilfand, in an interview with RIA Novosti, promised that the Russians in the European part of the country would experience abnormal heat during the working week.

According to the weather forecaster, the weather in European Russia at the end of the working week will be 50 days ahead of the climatic course, the warmest will be in the center and north of the region, on Thursday it is expected to reach plus five degrees in the afternoon. At the same time, nighttime temperatures in the center of European Russia will be from minus two to minus seven degrees, and daytime temperatures from one to three degrees.

From Thursday, February 17, the April weather will come confidently: the temperature will be 11 degrees above the norm. “This will even correspond to the second decade of April,” the head of the Hydrometeorological Center said.

According to him, such warm weather will be associated with warm, southern air masses. The largest positive temperature anomalies await the center of the region, north and northwest, in the south of the European part of the deviation will be three to four degrees.

At the same time, significant precipitation is not expected until February 17, the snow depth will decrease, and there will already be precipitation on Thursday-Friday. “Precipitation will be mainly in the form of rain and sleet,” the forecaster concluded.

Earlier, Vilfand said that in the first half of the week, Moscow expects temperatures of 1-3 degrees during the day, “solar valentines”. According to him, the weather in Moscow at the beginning of the week will be “not only very warm, but also very pleasant.” He promised the inhabitants of the capital the April temperature of up to five degrees Celsius.
