On April 4-5, the Russian occupation army tried to enter with infantry the outskirts of Chasovoy Yar in the Donetsk region, but was unable to gain a foothold. As of April 5, the city is completely controlled by the Ukrainian army.

According to the publication’s sources, as of the evening of April 5, the Russians are standing a few hundred meters from the first buildings of Chasovoy Yar. They constantly carry out assault operations.
The situation is also difficult in the village of Ivanovskoye, which is located southeast of Chasovoy Yar.

The commander of the Achilles strike unmanned aerial systems battalion of the 92nd Separate Assault Brigade named after Koshevoy Ataman Ivan Sirko Yuri Fedotenko said on Apostrophe TV that the situation in the Bakhmut direction should be considered comprehensively.
— In order to carry out shock assault operations in the direction of Chasovoy Yar, the enemy additionally needs to align the flanks. For them, the left flank is the settlement of Ivanovskoye. And they are also trying, by closing this left flank, to put maximum active pressure on Ivanovskoye, — Fedotenko told.
The military man noted that there was virtually nothing left of the village in terms of buildings and structures. This is a territory that is “either occupied by the enemy by 60-70%, then the enemy is thrown back by the defense forces”.
The enemy is trying to take full control of Ivanovskoye in order to close his flank. Currently, about 60% of the settlement is under occupation, and 40% — under the control of the defense forces.
The enemy is also carrying out assault operations in the direction of Kleshcheevka — without success, and Andreevka — also without success.
