Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Russian officials have no plans to participate in the upcoming Munich Security Conference. Her statement was made during a briefing, the broadcast is published by RT.
Zakharova did not disclose the reasons why the representatives of the Russian delegation will not be able to take part in the upcoming security conference.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov previously told reporters that Russian President Vladimir Putin also does not plan to take part in the event this year: his participation is not planned either in person or via video call.
In 2022, the Munich Security Conference will be held in person for the first time in two years. It should take place on February 18-20, 2022.
