The Russian Foreign Ministry's plenipotentiary for human rights, democracy and the rule of law, Grigory Lukyantsev, assessed the possibility of returning the death penalty in the country. RIA Novosti reports.

According to the diplomat, Russia adheres to a clear position on the moratorium on the death penalty and sees no reason to revise it.
