Russia is optimizing the staff of foreign missions in Ukraine due to possible provocations by Kiev and third countries. This was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova, reports TASS.
The department noted that the embassy and consulates in Ukraine will continue to perform their main functions.
“We have indeed made a decision on some optimization of the staff of Russian foreign missions in Ukraine. We draw your attention to the fact that our embassies and consulates will continue to perform their main functions,” said Maria Zakharova.
Earlier, on February 12, the embassy in Kiev assured that the diplomatic missions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine continue to work.
