The Russian Federation may open a second front in Europe – the commander-in-chief of the Belgian army predicted which countries are under threat

The commander-in-chief of the Belgian army warned which countries would be under attack if Russia opened a second front in Europe.

The commander-in-chief of the Belgian army Michel Hoffmann says that the occupying army of Russia may in the future open a second front in Europe by attacking Moldova or the Baltic countries.

He spoke about this in an interview with VRT.

“We see that Russia has switched to a war economy. I think we have a right to worry. The language used by the Kremlin and President Vladimir Putin is always ambiguous. It is entirely possible that sometime in the future they can open a second front. Either in the south, or in Moldova, or in the Baltic countries,” said Hoffman.

He recalled that part of the territory of Moldova (unrecognized Transnistria – ed.) has long been occupied by the Russians.

Michel Hoffmann also added that although it seems that Russia is weakened by the war in Ukraine, this is only temporary.

“Russia will eventually revive its war machine and rebuild its Armed Forces. They have already shown that they have the will to attack their neighbor. We must make sure that we have the ability to prevent this from happening again, and demonstrate the will, that we are ready to counterattack if necessary,” emphasized Admiral Michel Hoffmann.

Remember, Duda convenes the Polish Security Council because of the war in Ukraine.
