It is noted that the United States decided not to invite Putin to the upcoming summit due to sanctions.
“The United States informed us through bilateral channels that this year they are not going to invite a number of leaders due to that they are subject to sanctions restrictions,” said senior APEC official Marat Berdyev.
At the same time, Moscow plans to persuade Washington to change its decision.
“I, as a senior official of the Russian Federation, actively interacted with them and once again sent a request calling for an invitation to the Russian leader,” Berdyev noted.
Recall that in 2024, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin< /strong> decided to spend a record 11 trillion rubles on the army. This is almost twice as much as in 2023.
