Russia announced that on August 26 at about 03.00 Moscow time the attempt was stoppedof the “Kyiv regime” to carry out a “terrorist attack by an aircraft-type UAV” on objects in the territory of Moscow and the Moscow region.
An unmanned aerial vehicle was destroyed over the territory of the Istra district of the Moscow region by “regular air defense systems,” the Russian Defense Ministry said .
The Russians claim to have destroyed the aircraft.

“Tonight, the “air defense forces” destroyed a drone on its way to Moscow in the Istra district. There were no preliminary injuries or damage. Emergency services are working at the scene,” Sergey Soboryanin wrote.

As a result of an attack by Russian drones at all Moscow airports, the “Carpet” plan was announced.
It is noted that departure and arrival flights were delayed .
At least 24 flights were delayed and 8 canceled at Moscow's Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports.
Recall that on August 23, the Russians announced another attack by several drones in Moscow and the region. There were hits on an unfinished skyscraper in Moscow City and buildings in the Moscow region were damaged.
The next day, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced a new attempt to UAV attacks on Moscow.
