MOSCOW, September 30. / TASS /. The face and silhouette recognition system developed by the Russian company Ntechlab will be used in the Russian pavilion at the World Expo 2020 in Dubai, CEO of the company Andrey Telenkov told TASS.

The system will collect information about visitors and will monitor the observance of antiquated measures.

“The system will be used in the Russian pavilion at Expo 2020 and will make it possible to calculate the total number of visitors, analyze information about them: determine gender, age, estimate the number of unique visitors, and collect information on the frequency of visits,” Telenkov said.

Ntechlab, of which RT-Business Development of the Rostec State Corporation is one of the shareholders, has become a technology partner of the Russian pavilion Expo 2020.

As the company clarified, using the FindFace Multi platform it is also possible to monitor compliance with safety measures and sanitary and epidemiological standards. “The system will notify employees when there is an excessively large number of people in one zone, and collect information about queues, for example, at what time they formed and how many people are in the queue,” Ntechlab explained.

In addition, on November 23, within the framework of the Expo, NtechLab will hold an international conference on video analytics with the participation of 10 countries.

Expo 2020 will be held in Dubai from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022.

Earlier, the Ntechlab system for recognizing faces and silhouettes of people and cars began to be applied in five regions of the Russian Federation, as well as abroad, Telenkov told TASS. The technology is also used in Latin America in the public transport system and in the CIS countries in various projects, in Russia and abroad at construction sites and in sports analytics. As reported, the Moscow authorities purchased access control systems with face recognition Ntechlab.

Ntechlab specializes in advanced self-learning neural network techniques for creating facial recognition algorithms.

In September 2020, the Russian Direct Investment Fund and leading sovereign wealth funds in the Middle East announced that they had invested over 1 billion rubles in Ntechlab.
