On Friday, February 4, a fire broke out at the Russian Embassy in the Philippines in Manila, the consequences of which are still being eliminated.

This was reported in the Department of the Situation and crisis Center (DSCC) Ministry OF Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.

As a result of the incident, no one was injured. The embassy staff, as well as their family members who were in the building, were evacuated.

According to preliminary information, the building has suffered significant damage. The causes of the outbreak are being investigated.

“In cooperation with the Philippine emergency services, the main source of fire was promptly eliminated, and the fire extinguishing work will be completed in the near future,” the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.

The Philippine edition of Rappler on its YouTube channel published a video showing the roof of a burning building.
