Moscow expects Washington to impose new sanctions. This was stated by the Russian Ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov, writes TASS.
According to him, there is a consensus in the United States that new restrictions against Russia are needed. At the same time, it is not yet known what exactly they will be, the diplomat noted.
Antonov added that 28 more Russian diplomats will have to leave the United States by June 30. Answering the question about the possibility of severing diplomatic relations, the ambassador said that this issue is within the competence of the president. However, the Ambassador stressed that the representative offices will work until the last diplomat to establish ties.
Earlier, Antonov also called the accusations of the West against Russia blasphemy. According to him, they are directed against Moscow as part of the information war. Antonov called providing an alibi for the operations of the Ukrainian army against Donbass as the final goal of the West.
