Russian Ambassador to London Andrei Kelin called Britain and the United States responsible for the escalation of the Ukrainian crisis. He stated this on the air of the British Channel4, RIA Novosti reports.
“NATO partners are leaving embassies, leaving or destroying property, asking their citizens to leave Ukraine as soon as possible. This is what we call an escalation of the situation… I think the UK and the US are now the most contributing to the escalation of the Ukrainian crisis,” the Russian ambassador said.
Earlier it was reported that US President Joe Biden on February 15 will make a new statement on the situation around Ukraine and the continuation of diplomatic contacts with Russia. The performance is scheduled for 15.30 Washington time (23.30 Moscow time).
On February 15, the State Duma supported a draft resolution on an appeal to Russian President Vladimir Putin with a request to recognize the DPR and LPR. The version of the document proposed by the Communist Party of the Russian Federation won in the rating voting. It involves the direct submission of an appeal to the head of state without additional consultations with the Russian Foreign Ministry.
