The launch of the Nord Stream 2 (SP-2) gas pipeline is not related to politics and meets the wishes of the people. This was stated in an interview with Reuters by the Secretary General of the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) Kevin Kühnert.
The representative of the ruling party in Germany stressed that the majority of his compatriots regularly speak out in support of the launch of the SP-2. “This project was planned and promoted for a long time, numerous concerns were weighed and taken into account,” he said.
