Astromech droid R2-D2 from Star Wars has finally become an official Tamagotchi character. The fans have been waiting for this too long.
The R2-D2 character is presented in two colors – white, which is more similar to the original, and blue, which refers to the days when people actually bought Tamagotchi.
In terms of gameplay, the digital version of R2-D2 is almost identical to any other pet. Through a 24 x 30 pixel LCD display and three physical buttons, R2-D2 can be taught nineteen different skills, taking care of the droid by charging and cleaning it to keep it happy. You can also play nine different mini-games.
In fact, it is not entirely clear why this happened right now, when people are not particularly keen on Tamagotchi. It remains to be happy for the true fans of the franchise and the game.
