The first plane from Russia, after the abolition of restrictions on flights to Turkey, arrived in Antalya, RIA Novosti was told at the local airport.
“We accepted the first plane from Russia this morning after the resumption of flights, this is a Turkish Airlines flight from Moscow, 132 passengers flew in on it. During the day, 44 flights from Russia were announced, ”the message says.
According to a representative of Turkish Airlines, flights to Russia have been fully restored since Tuesday.
The head of the working group on tourism of the Antalya City Council, Recep Yavuz, told the agency that after the resumption of flights between the countries, up to 10 thousand tourists from Russia are expected in the city on Tuesday and 20-25 thousand in the following days. According to Yavuz, in the next 4 months, Antalya will be visited by up to 4 million tourists from the Russian Federation, they make up about 40% of foreign tourists at this resort.
