The press service of the Russian Ministry of Sports denied information about the resignation of the head of the department, Oleg Matytsin. This is reported by TASS.

As noted in the ministry's statement, the information that Matytsin wrote a letter of resignation of his own free will does not correspond to reality. Boris Belyakov, the press secretary of the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, also confirmed the unreliability of the message. Earlier, the possible resignation of the official was reported by the Baza edition.
