The specialist found out that the American company Qualcomm, which produces subconductors, is working on a processor for next-generation smartphones ahead of schedule. Thus, the Snapdragon 895 chip will be presented in early December.
IceUniverse believes that the first smartphone with the new processor will be the next flagship Xiaomi, which appears in the report under the name Mi 12. If the Snapdragon 895 is announced on time, then the release of Xiaomi Mi 12 will not be delayed either. The specialist believes that the model will be presented at the end of December.
The characteristics of the flagship device were not disclosed. According to an insider, it is only clear that the Mi 12 will be the first or one of the first smartphones to receive the new Qualcomm processor. Earlier, sources said that a smartphone from Lenovo will also be released on the basis of the Snapdragon 895 by the end of the year.
The Xiaomi Mi 11 was announced in December 2020. The flagship received a 6.81-inch OLED screen with 2K resolution, support for HDR10 + technology and a display frequency of up to 120 hertz. Also, the device came out with a top-end Snapdragon 888 processor.
