The region in Italy was mistakenly closed for a week's quarantine

The Italian region of Lombardy was quarantined for a week due to an error in regional statistics, the newspaper Le Nouvel Observateur writes.

Regions in the country are divided into three zones depending on the situation with the coronavirus – yellow, orange and red. Due to the confusion with statistics, Lombardy is in the “red zone”.

Now the government has taken into account the revised numbers on the number of cases of coronavirus. The region is transferred to the “orange” zone.

Residents in this area can move without permission within their city. In the “red” zone, you can only go to the hospital or to work. There are shops selling essential goods.
