The Red Cross will provide financial assistance to Ukrainians/Channel 24 Collage

Ukrainians affected by the war can receive financial assistance. It will be provided by the Red Cross together with the Ministry of Social Policy.

Low-income families will receive help

It should be understood that poor families can count on financial assistance from the Red Cross and the Ministry of Social Policy. And only from the communities directly affected by the Russian aggression.

The assistance provides for payments in the amount of 2,500 hryvnia per month. It will be allocated for each family member.

Criteria for receiving assistance

To qualify for financial assistance, two important criteria must be met. We are talking about:

  • the official status of a low-income family, registered with the Ministry of Social Policy;
  • until February 24, the family had to live in one of the communities affected by the war.

Note that it doesn't matter if the family left after the invasion began. She can still count on financial support.

Money can be counted on residentsDonetsk, Lugansk, Zaporozhye, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Nikolaev, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv regions. In some of these areas, only communities directly affected by the enemy are mentioned.

Do I need to register to receive funds

The Ministry of Social Policy emphasizes that this is not necessary. Funds will go to those families that meet the criteria. It is the ministry that will provide the data to the Red Cross.

Important!There are no other ways to enroll in this program. Be careful not to fall into the hands of scammers.

How the funds will reach the recipients

The head of household will receive the funds allocated by the Red Cross to his bank account. The Ministry of Social Policy already has information about him. Or they can be received at any branch of PrivatBank.

  • When will the money be credited? The Ministry of Social Policy notes that the funds will be received in the first weeks of June.
  • Will the family be notified of enrollment in the program? Yes, the Red Cross will notify via SMS to the user's number. After that, you will receive a notification about the transfer of funds, but this time from the Bank.

Note that some program participants may call representatives of the Red Cross or the Red Cross Society in Ukraine. This will be done in order to conduct a small survey about the provision of assistance.
