Serbian basketball player AEK Stevan Jelovac died after a stroke at the age of 32. This was reported on the website of the Greek team.
According to the source, during the AEK training session on November 14, the forward lost consciousness and was taken to the hospital. It is noted that he was engaged in an individual program, as he was recovering from an ankle injury. Last week, at the request of the athlete's family, Yelovac was taken to Serbia, where he died in intensive care.
Yelovac joined AEK at the beginning of the 2021/2022 season. He is known in Russia for his performances for Nizhny Novgorod in the 2017/2018 season. The former player of the team holds the VTB League record for the number of points in one match – 49.
On November 27, the hockey player of the Russian junior national team Valentin Rodionov died while in the intensive care unit. He was admitted to the clinic with a traumatic brain injury.
