According to a spokesman for the command of the Houthi combat wing (Shiite movement “Ansar Allah”), the scout shot down the air defense means “with the help of a suitable missile.” What exactly it was for the shell is not specified. The general added that the MQ-9 Reaper “was on an enemy mission in Marib governorate airspace.”
In addition, Sari said that the Houthis attacked an international airport in the Saudi city of Abha. According to him, this operation is being carried out as a “legitimate and natural response to the escalation of aggression” by Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia proposed a solution to one of the longest wars in the Middle East in Yemen. The plan includes several points, the observance of which supposedly will help end the conflict.
The Yemeni conflict has been active since 2014. The Houthi rebels are believed to be supported by Iran and Hezbollah. Against them – the army of Yemen and the coalition of Arab countries, led by Saudi Arabia.
