The move of British Prince William to Windsor Castle will offend Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle. The Daily Express writes about this.
According to unconfirmed reports, Queen Elizabeth II recently invited Prince William and his wife Kate Middleton to move to Windsor Castle, which, after the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, became her main residence. Two years earlier, she had banned Harry and Megan, who had not yet left the UK, in there.
British royal family expert Daniela Elsner believes that Prince Harry may consider his brother's move to Windsor Castle a new attack on himself. “If the queen really opens the doors of her beloved home to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge after Harry and Meghan turned it down, it will be hard not to see it as a kind of slap in the face,” she says.
Elsner does not exclude that the Queen's invitation will worsen relations between the brothers. According to her, the situation would be even more difficult if Harry still lived in Frogmore, located near Windsor Castle. In this case, he would have to face daily confirmations that his status is lower than that of his brother.
Earlier it was reported that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle asked for an audience with Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain. It is assumed that the Dukes of Sussex wanted to introduce the Queen to their daughter and her great-granddaughter.
