The St. Petersburg Tractor Plant will equip the Kirovets model with a smart autopilot system until 2024.
The enterprise is implementing the project together with Cognitive Pilot (a subsidiary of Sberbank and Cognitive Technologies).
Artificial intelligence will control the movement of the tractor, control agricultural implements and monitor their condition.
“Based on the information from the sensors of the smart tractor, a comprehensive analysis of the condition of the soil and crops will be carried out,” – said in the comments of the manufacturers of the innovative model.
The Kirovets unmanned tractor will cost from 8 to 12 million rubles. The price of the model will become its competitive advantage, since foreign smart drones for agricultural work cost from 35 to 50 million rubles.
Already at the second stage of the project (in 2022) “Kirovets” will be able to carry out autonomous turns and independently calculate the optimal routes for the work. Next year it is planned to supply the customer with a pilot batch of machines.
