The Kremlin said that they will "persistently continue to explain that they are right" Armenia.
The Kremlin responded to the statement of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who repeated that his country is not an ally of the Russian Federation. The Kremlin stated that it does not agree with Armenia’s position on the war in Ukraine.
Putin’s spokesman Dmitry Peskov said this during a briefing on Monday, February 19.
“Russia and Armenia have diametrically opposed points of view in relation to “Ukraine. Moscow is well aware of Yerevan's position. Russia does not agree with Armenia's position towards Ukraine and will stubbornly continue to explain that it is right,” he said.
Note that the day before, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan once again repeated that his country is not an ally of the Russian Federation in its war against Ukraine. He emphasized that Armenia supports the Alma-Ata Declaration, which was adopted, in particular, by Russia and Ukraine, according to which the signatories recognized that the Soviet Union no longer exists – and they become independent states and recognize each other’s borders, writes Armenpress.< /p>
Recall that on February 12, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said that Yerevan is not an ally of the Russian Federation in the war waged by Putin.
