In the American city of Montecito, California, they decided to sell a house next to celebrities. For a luxurious mansion in a prestigious area, the new owner will have to pay $ 29.5 million (about 2.2 billion rubles), writes The New York Post.
Called the “Palace of Versailles in California,” the house is located near the property of Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle, TV presenter Oprah Winfrey, actress Gwyneth Paltrow and comedian Ellen DeGeneres.
The elite estate occupies an area of 80 acres, and the area of the mansion itself is more than 1.1 thousand square meters. With five bedrooms and a dozen bathrooms, the home contains valuable luxury items – French marble kitchen countertops, gold plumbing fixtures, and vintage chandeliers. A bathroom and a spacious living room with a bright fireplace leads to the courtyard. A unique variety of roses grows in the well-kept garden and there is a fountain that is about a thousand years old.
Inside the house there is also a fully equipped bar, gym, sauna and cinema room. You can also play golf and swim in the pool on site. However, the main feature of the luxurious house, realtors called a personal underground cellar, which can accommodate 200 bottles of wine.
In September, the opportunity arose in Great Britain to become a neighbor of another member of the royal family. In Gloucestershire, for the first time in many years, Elmestree House, adjacent to Highgrove, the beloved residence of Prince Charles, was put up for sale. For an Elizabethan-style house built in 1844 and a plot of 47 hectares, they asked for $ 10.1 million (about 745.5 million rubles).
