Zelensky turned to Duda/OP >Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on March 26 held a video conference with Polish leader Andrzej Duda. Zelensky once again spoke about the need to increase air defense.
The Ukrainian president said he was disappointed. This is because of Soviet-made aircraft, which they promised to transfer to protect against Russia.
Eastern European countries, in particular Poland, have such aircraft. They have even been promised to Ukraine.
“The cost of delaying the planes is thousands of Ukrainian lives that we are losing from missile and air strikes against peaceful Ukrainian cities,” Zelensky said.
Russia must be stopped
According to the president, long-range aircraft, tanks and air defense systems would help protect Ukrainian cities and change the course of hostilities. He stressed that the partners have the opportunity to help.
“There is a high risk that Russian troops will create not only a missile threat to the territory of our neighbors – friendly Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and the Baltic countries, but also direct combined arms. On their borders, under their cities. And they will go further,” Zelensky said.
