Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that Belgrade does not support Russia in the war against Ukraine, and also admitted that Crimea and Donbass are Ukrainian territories.
He said this in an interview Bloomberg.
“We initially said that we could not support Russia's invasion of Ukraine. For us, Crimea is Ukraine, Donbass is Ukraine, and it will remain that way,” Vučić said.
He said he was grateful to Russia for supporting Kosovo, and this explains why Serbia cannot support economic measures against Moscow.
“We (with Russia. – Ed.) Traditionally have good relations, but this is not means we support we live every single decision or most decisions of the Kremlin. The EU is our path. There are no other ways,” the head of Serbia noted.

Serbia is traditionally one of Russia's closest allies in Europe.

Vučić called these calls “brutal interference” in the internal affairs of his state.
