The player said that he was attacked when he was returning home after shopping on Boxing Day (a holiday that is celebrated in England on December 26 – approx. “Lenta.ru” ).
Five unknown persons got out of a nearby car. They tried to grab the athlete, one of them hit House on the head with a bottle. The footballer tried to escape, but he was chased for another 40 minutes. As a result, the attackers got scared of the ambulances and fled.
“They had tinted windows on the car, I was very afraid that they would point a gun at me. At first I thought, “What is this joke?”, – said House. As a result of the attack, the footballer received a severe cut on his head.
In 2018, the player played for Wolverhampton. He has been playing for Aston Villa since July 1, 2019. In six games of the season, he scored one goal.
On December 21, Olympic figure skating champion Dmitry Solovyov was beaten in Moscow by three men when he stood up for his girlfriend, curler Anna Sidorova. Soloviev was admitted to the neurosurgery department of the Botkin Hospital with a head injury. The 32-year-old athlete's condition stabilized and he was discharged from the hospital on December 28.
