MOSCOW, August 23. / TASS /. The growth of the population of the Red Data Book lizard was recorded in the Moscow natural-historical park “Kuzminki-Lyublino”. This was reported to TASS on Monday by the press service of the capital's municipal economy complex.

The quick, or agile lizard is listed in the Red Book of Moscow under category 1, which means that the species is endangered. It is noted that after its prey – a fly – such a lizard can even jump. Such lizards live, as a rule, in open spaces – glades and meadows. The color of nimble lizards is varied: brown, green or gray.

The average length of a reptile is 25 cm, and the largest individuals can reach 35 cm. At the same time, 60% of the body is a tail, which the lizard discards in case of danger. It is noted that nimble lizards have a well-developed sense of smell and sight, and they use their tongue to touch.
