Pope Francis during Sunday prayers on May 12 again called for a prisoner exchange between Ukraine and Russia.

“I again appeal for a general exchange of all prisoners between Russia and Ukraine, assuring the readiness of the Holy See to assist any efforts in this direction, especially regarding the seriously wounded and sick. And in the future we pray for peace in Ukraine, in Palestine, in Israel, in Myanmar. We pray for peace,” Francis said.
Recall that recently Pope Francis, after a wave of criticism over the “white flag for Ukraine” again called for peace negotiations and an end to the war.
