Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky in an interview with the publication “Ukraine.ru” said that, despite the expected decline in the escalation of the situation around Ukraine after the harsh rhetoric of some parties, there were no noticeable improvements. He explained that the West deliberately acts in such a way that it becomes impossible to negotiate with it.

“It seemed that the Russian-Belarusian exercises would take place, Putin would return from Beijing, and prospects for finding a compromise would appear. But the events of recent days with this “triple alliance” (Great Britain, Ukraine, Poland – approx. “Tapes.“) and the leak of the US and NATO responses to Russia’s proposals on security in Europe, which were published by the Spanish newspaper El Pais, show that it is impossible to agree with them on the mind,” Pogrebinsky said.

In addition, the expert noted, currently Washington continues to add fuel to the fire with demands from Russia to remove its troops from its own territories, as well as not to conduct maneuvers in Belarus. The United States is literally running into being “sent,” the political scientist stressed, adding that in this case Moscow should make attempts to show the States how such rhetoric can end for them if they do not compromise.
