Political scientist Rahr said that the confrontation between Russia and NATO will continue
German political scientist Alexander Rahr noted in an interview with Ukraina.ru that the implementation of the Minsk agreements is not the main component of the crisis around Ukraine. He stated that at present Ukraine is a platform for confrontation between Russia and NATO and described the further steps of both sides of the conflict. In his opinion, the “fake” war will continue.
“This conflict is not the most important, something else is important – the geopolitical situation. Both America and the British want to push Russia out of Europe, contain it, and contain China. For this, it is necessary to strengthen NATO on the eastern borders. This will continue, Russia will respond because it will not agree to a retreat. But I don't think it's the worst option. There will be no war, no one will go to a real war, ”the expert said.
Earlier, Russian and Ukrainian political scientist Nikolai Zlobin explained why Russia does not express a desire to use forceful methods in resolving the situation around Ukraine. In his opinion, Moscow is well aware that this is not a solution to problems.
