The school principal noticed the video and called the police.

In the German state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, the police took him away from the lesson A 16-year-old schoolgirl because of a video published on a social network with fairy-tale characters the Smurfs in support of the far-right party Alternative for Germany (AfD).

This was reported by Bild.

The video caught the attention of the school principal, who called the police because of a possible threat to state security.

“The Smurfs are blue, so is Germany,” the video says, with a hint of the AfD party colors. In addition, the girl says in the video that Germany is not a place on the map, but a home.

The three police officers who arrived on call did not see any sedition in the published video, but the schoolgirl was still taken from her chemistry lesson and had an “educational conversation of a preventive nature” with her in the department.

The police explained that this was done to “protect the schoolgirl from possible hostility.”

This event, which happened back in late February, may , would have gone unnoticed if the AfD group in the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern state parliament had not learned about it from the schoolgirl’s mother, who is a supporter of the mentioned far-right party. Politicians called “the actions of the police in this case completely disproportionate” and suggested that the director “may even have committed a criminal offense for false suspicion.”

Representatives of the Alternative for Germany party have submitted a request in which they demand that the Ministry of Education indicate to school authorities “that students enjoy freedom of expression regarding their religious and political orientation and should not be afraid of any measures directed against them while they act in accordance with the Constitution.”

Recall that the German magazine Spiegel, which conducted an investigation together with the Insider and Bellingtcat communities, discovered that Russia is collaborating with the far-right party Alternative for Germany (AfD) and is using its activists to interfere with supplies to Ukraine German weapons.
